Phase 2 of the project includes a larger home for the North Shore Neighbourhood House and a high-rise tower with 180 affordable rental homes. The new neighbourhood house space will offer childcare, youth and seniors’ programs, recreational and wellness programs, and food security programs. North Shore Neighbourhood House has outgrown its aging facility built in 1967. Its redevelopment is guided by a vision for creating a vibrant and integrated Hub at the heart of Lower Lonsdale that will also address affordable housing needs in the community. Catalyst is a non-profit developer that specializes in partnerships with municipalities, non-profits, charities, and other institutional and private owners that are mission-aligned.

Moderate Income – A home that is available for a monthly rent that is equal to the low-end of rents available in the private market. Also referred to as ‘Middle Income’ and ‘Affordable Market’.
