Colwood Lodge is a 40-year-old, 50-unit affordable rental building for 55+ and person with disabilities. The current building has been in operation well past its effective life. GVHS is planning to redevelop the site into a six-story wood frame building with approximately 139 affordable rental units. The redevelopment will improve accessibility and will be a Zero Emission High Performance Building, Net Zero Ready/Step Code 3, and feature Electric Vehicle and Bike Plug-ins.The Greater Victoria Housing Society was founded in 1956 and is dedicated to providing affordable rental housing for low-to-moderate income families, seniors, working singles, and adults with diverse abilities who live independently.
