Lakewood Multicultural United Church, built in 1964, will be redeveloped into a six-storey mixed-used building with a new replacement church and 106 units of below-market housing. The site is conveniently located close to Trout lake and eight minutes away from a SkyTrain station on foot. This development will pursue Passive House certification. The Lakeview United Church is one of a portfolio of congregational properties that the BC Conference of The United Church of Canada is redeveloping as part of a mixed-use, affordable housing initiative.
