Hamilton East Kiwanis Non Profit Homes owns eighty-five existing townhouses at 1540 Wentworth St in Hamilton. In order to address additional housing needs in the community, a new 126 unit building will be developed to replace 16 of the townhouses. This building will have units appropriate for different lifestyles including seniors and families in a range of one-, two-, and three-bedroom units. Kiwanis is part of a coalition of like-minded non-profits called Hamilton is Home that seeks to address Hamilton’s affordable housing crisis.

Moderate Income – A home that is available for a monthly rent that is equal to the low-end of rents available in the private market. Also referred to as ‘Middle Income’ and ‘Affordable Market’.
